Wesley Homes’ New Year’s Resolution

There’s a lot going on with Wesley Homes this year. We’re expanding and changing to better serve older adults in the Pacific Northwest. It is an exciting time to share some of these updates.

Rehabilitation & Care Center in Auburn on Lea Hill

The Wesley Homes Lea Hill Rehabilitation & Care Center is bringing skilled nursing and rehabilitation to residents of South King County. Construction is expected to be completed this February, thus completing the full continuum of care on the campus.

The center will have the following features:

  • Private suites with private bathrooms, providing comfort and dignity for residents and patients
  • Attractive rooms with kitchenettes, grouped in one of two “neighborhoods” – one for short term rehabilitation and the other for long term residency.
  • Common areas feature comfortable lounges, dining areas and a non-denominational chapel.
  • Fully licensed caregivers including RNs, LPNs and nursing assistants
  • 24/7 care under the supervision of each resident’s physician and a Medical Director
  • Therapies such as Speech, Physical and occupational Rehabilitation including an outdoor therapy garden.

It’s almost here so watch your mail for an announcement of our grand opening in the next few weeks.

Renovation of The Terrace in Des Moines

Construction is scheduled to start in February to add amenities to The Terrace building at Wesley Homes Des Moines. These renovations are being made to enhance the lives of current and future residents. Renovations include a bistro with espresso bar, creative arts center, fully equipped classroom and a new library on the main level.  Floor lounges will also be updated providing space for entertaining as well as daily resident activities. The lower level will offer a newly updated fitness center, aerobics room and multi-use space.

Redevelopment of The Gardens in Des Moines

Wesley Homes is embarking on a journey to redevelop the south side of the Des Moines campus. For many, The Gardens represents fond memories and vital history of the Wesley Homes mission. The decision to redevelop this building has been difficult at times but it is also exciting to see what it can become. This is a necessary change in order to strengthen Wesley Homes Des Moines and make it possible to continue our commitment to residents and their families in the Des Moines community. This renovation will allow Wesley Homes to run more efficiently and provide modern amenities current and future residents of Des Moines deserve. The first phase of the plan is set to begin later this year and will include 32 new cottages and a brownstone-style building. We’re currently working to select a contractor for this project to join the dedicated redevelopment team.

Bradley Park in Puyallup

Puyallup_Rendering_FinalsmallWesley Homes is moving forward with plans to build a retirement community near Bradley Lake Park. This new vision for Puyallup offers exciting possibilities for seniors who call East Pierce County home.  The focus of the campus will be The Lodge, which will feature a Town Center with an abundance of activities and amenities, ranging from chef-prepared meals in a choice of dining environs, a fully-equipped fitness center, a non-denominational chapel, a creative arts center and a woodworking shop. Wesley Homes Bradley Park will feature spacious accommodations for independent living, both in condominium-style Brownstones as well as in luxurious apartments in The Lodge. The Commons will provide nearly 50 apartments for housing with services, such as three meals per day, housekeeping and a full schedule of activities. The Arbor includes 18 assisted living memory care apartments.

Centrally located in South Hill, Wesley Homes Bradley Park’s ideal location is close to shopping, medical facilities and city conveniences, yet the tranquil park-like setting boasts ample walking trails and green space. Priority Reservation Deposits are currently being accepted.
