Scheduled to be completed mid-August, the new renovations in The Terrace at Wesley Homes Des Moines look promising! View our photo album of the recent work being done to improve the design and quality of our interior spaces.
The Terrace is getting a beautiful new lobby complete with a bistro, seating area, fireplace, library and classroom. Letting in much more natural light, the space is said to already feel larger and more open. The seating around the bistro and fireplace will provide a very inviting space for residents to socialize and greet guests. The classroom will provide a great multipurpose area for continuing education. In the photo album below, you will see beautiful design features emerging such as new light fixtures, tiling, wood paneling and elegant wall patterns.

The Terrace is also getting fully remodeled lounges on floors 3-6. Each lounge will offer an elegant new design with soft seating by a fireplace, a wall-mounted TV, card tables and chairs and a serving kitchen with sink, mini fridge and dishwasher.
On the Leisure Level, there will be new exercise equipment, a game room with TVs and video activities, flexible space for parties, meetings and informal gatherings, updated seating and an updated cafe area.
The renovations are scheduled to be completed August 16th, so be sure to take a look!
I just want to congratulate the adminsstration and staff of Wesley Homes on the ongoing improvements in order to better serve your communities. I worked at Wesley Gardens and the Terrace from 1983-1990. I have never seen better care given to residents and staff in my subsequent years working in the Senior industry. In seeing the photos of the new remodel, it takes me back to the remodel 26 years ago when I was moving away from the area. I miss working in such a superior tight knit community of staff and residents. All the best as you continue growing to serve the ageing population.
