Jean Corr, RPT with the King County Emergency Medical Services One Step Ahead Fall Prevention Program, engaged Wesley Homes Des Moines residents on strategies to minimize their risk for falling. The four important strategies that she covered were: 1) Getting Regular exercise 2) Modifying your home 3) Managing your medication 4) Getting your vision checked on a regular basis Jean wholeheartedly endorsed our SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life) program and encouraged practicing the exercises in the "Exercise & Physical Activity" workbook put out by the National Institute on Aging.
