Estate planning is not just for the wealthy or retired. It’s for everyone!
Congress has designated the third week in October (17th-23rd) as National Estate Planning Awareness Week. Estate planning is one of the most overlooked areas of personal financial management. It is estimated that over half of Americans do not have an estate plan.
Estate planning can help protect you, your family and your assets. It can save your loved ones money, pass on your assets in the way you desire and give you peace of mind. This week is the perfect time to make sure your affairs are in order. Contact your estate planning professional to begin the process. If you already have a plan, it’s a good time to review it to make needed adjustments to beneficiary designations or modify retirement accounts and insurance policies.
