Groundbreaking Celebration for Bradley Park

Join us this month in celebrating the future of Bradley Park and the journey that has led to this commemoration.

Wesley Homes Bradley Park is holding a groundbreaking celebration to commemorate the beginning of the development of the Bradley Park campus in Puyallup. The campus will provide a new level of care and comfort for older adults in East Pierce County.

“This project has been in the making since 2010, and we’re now getting ready to start building. We want to celebrate this important milestone with the individuals who have worked so hard to get us to this point,” said Wesley Homes President and CEO Kevin Anderson.

Located by the scenic Bradley Lake Park, Wesley Homes Bradley Park is bringing a new vision of retirement living to Puyallup and East Pierce County. Now accepting reservations, the new campus will offer a wide variety of living choices, state-of-the-art amenities to enrich independent lifestyles and a complete network of care services for those who need specialized care. Bradley Park will be the the first and only faith based, not-for-profit senior living community in East Pierce County to offer this full continuum of care. The campus is also a convenient distance from local Puyallup shopping centers, Pierce College Puyallup campus and the YMCA.

“Puyallup has so much going for it. It’s a great community; we are pleased to be able to bring our senior living and care services to Puyallup as well as the surrounding communities,” said Kevin.

“Bradley Park is going to provide spacious accommodations and modern amenities so that residents can maintain their independence. With our full continuum of care, residents will be able to live at Wesley Homes with the peace of mind that we are there for them should their needs change,” said Community Relations Director Peggy Qualls.

Like any other Wesley Homes endeavor, Bradley Park would not have been possible without community support.

“We have been blessed to have so many wonderful volunteers helping us make this dream become a reality, from the Wesley Homes Board of Trustees to community activists, donors and financial institutions who believe in this project and want to be a part of it. We also have a highly dedicated and experienced general contractor and development team. All of these folks have worked together to bring this needed not-for-profit community to Puyallup,” said Kevin.

Peggy added, “We owe a lot to our Ambassador Team and to our donors for their dedication and support.”

Aside from their support in fundraising, the Ambassadors have also provided valuable feedback that helped determine which features and amenities would be best suited for the Bradley Park campus.

“We’re very excited to start seeing this vision come to life and are still taking reservations for charter residents who will become our Pioneers,” said Peggy.

As a not-for-profit, Wesley Homes would not have been able to start this project without the continued support of community members. It is because of the support of these individuals who believe in the project that the vision is becoming a reality.

The Groundbreaking Celebration will be held February 28th with live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The event will start with an invocation by Rev. Dennis Magnusen from the Wesley Homes Board of Trustees and will be followed by speakers, including Kevin, Ambassador and Pioneer Larry Carney, Puyallup Mayor John Hopkins, Puyallup Sumner Chamber President & CEO Shelly Schlumpf and Absher Construction President Dan Absher.

RSVP is required. To attend the event, please call 253.466.2720.
