With $1.5 million raised for the Circle of Concern Endowment, it is now possible for Wesley Homes Foundation to provide assistance to qualifying Lea Hill residents in need. This provision will ensure sustained assistance of residents over time. Wesley Homes does this because it is the right thing to do!
Our commitment to our residents extends far beyond the excellent services and affordable accommodations we provide. As a faith-based not-for-profit retirement community we care deeply about their spiritual and social well-being.
Older adults living on fixed incomes face many challenges. Sometimes an unexpected event such as an illness or serious accident may impose a severe financial hardship. This may leave financial resources exhausted through no fault of their own.
On such occasions Wesley Homes Foundation wants to be a valuable resource to our residents in need. For this reason we need your help in establishing the Circle of Concern Endowment.
This endowment is an investment fund set up by Wesley Homes Foundation. It is designed to keep the principal amount intact while using the investment income from interest and dividends for charitable purposes.
Why does this endowment matter?
Older adults are living longer than ever, especially in retirement communities. As a result, a well thought-out financial plan can sometimes prove to be inadequate.
In addition, events such as unforeseen medical conditions can lead to expensive surgeries and therapies which can wreak havoc on an older adult’s financial resources.
Is financial assistance now available?
Yes! The endowment has reached its $1.5 million goal and will now be able to offer assistance to residents in need. This provision will ensure sustained assistance for qualifying residents over time.
