“I have such gratitude to work for such wonderful people” says Wesley Homes Lea Hill Prep Cook, Brian Hitchcock. He goes on to say, “I am seen as an equal at Lea Hill and have earned the trust and respect of management.”
Brian has a deep understanding of how important a great meal is to the residents he serves. He further adds, “Mealtime is a big part of their life and I enjoy creating something special for them to look forward to.”
In addition to serving the residents and staff of Lea Hill, Brian volunteers on the hospitality committee at Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Federal Way. This committee makes certain that special events, such as funerals, weddings and other celebrations of life, have that special touch. And Brian is very good at making those moments very special!
Brian moved within one block of his Mother so he could be close to her as she ages in place. With the exception of the one week he took off to support her post-surgically, he never misses a shift; a dedication which has not gone unnoticed by his co-workers. He is the kind of person one can count on.
Brian gives back to his co-workers during their time of need by donating valuable paid time off. As a Wesley Homes Proud Stakeholder, his gift of time is valued immeasurably by those in need. We are fortunate he is a Wesley Homes Champion!

As we approach the Seattle Foundation’s Give BIG – The Day of Champions on 05-05-15, please consider making a gift in celebration of our Wesley Homes Champions!
