Residents opened their homes for guests interested in seeing what it’s like to live at Wesley Homes Lea Hill.
Wesley Homes Lea Hill celebrated its 10 year anniversary in May with an open house celebration. Guests were welcomed by smiling staff and residents, live classical piano and a wonderful assortment of food and drink. In addition, guests also had an opportunity to view homes on display by volunteer residents.
A total of eight apartments were shown at Eby Lodge, the town center of the campus, with various floorplans ranging from the one bedroom Meridian to the two bedroom Dumas. Guests had a good sampling of the living options available at Lea Hill. Eby Lodge residents benefit from having close neighbors and easy access to campus staff and amenities, such as the fitness center, pool and spa, game room, deli and more.
The Lea Hill campus fills the need for retirement living in Auburn, and it also serves as the prototype for how Wesley Homes is designing the brand new Wesley Homes Bradley Park in Puyallup as well as the redesign of its first campus, Wesley Homes Des Moines.
In addition to the Eby Lodge apartments, residents of the Brownstones and Village Homes also opened their doors.
Louise Parker is one of the residents who generously opened her Brownstone apartment to guests during the event. As a resident of four years, Louise feels right at home with her Rainier floorplan, a two bedroom, two and a half bath accommodation with a sizeable living space and welcoming sunroom.
“People were very excited about the potential they saw for themselves on the campus. The open house tours really helped them envision themselves living in a Wesley Homes community in the future,” said Louise.
Guests were able to see for themselves the living options and amenities available. They also had the opportunity to ask current residents about their experience within the community.
With the help of a few neighbors, Marjorie Wolfe had also opened her home to guests, allowing them to see the Cascade floor plan━a spacious two bedroom, two and a half bath Village Home.
“I think the guests touring the campus appreciated being able to see how the homes look while in actual use. They would talk about where they could place furniture or how they could decorate a similar space of their own,” said Marjorie.
“It was so much fun. The celebration was a huge success,” said Community Relations Director Karen Satterberg.
Guests were also able to see a sampling of the programs and activities available to residents. With booths dedicated to everything from the campus wood shop to historic photos, residents and staff saw the event as an opportunity to share their interests and joyously celebrate their lives and futures at Wesley Homes Lea Hill.
